Oven won't heat or takes too long to preheat? A weak or failed igniter is the most common cause. Easy DIY repair, typically completed in under 15 minutes.
I used the little video clip shown under the part and replaced it myself. Read more
Prevents water leaks at the bottom of your dishwasher door. Replace if you see dripping, E15 error codes, or loose corners. Verify fit with your model.
We replaced the black door seal gasket around the front of the dishwasher. The old black seal gasket had begun to deteriorate, every time it was touched black stuff would rub off onto hands and onto utensils in the upper basket. We wore some disposable gloves to remove the old seal to avoid getting the black stuff on our hands. Before entirely removing the old seal gasket we studied its placement to tell which way the new seal gasket should be placed. We didn’t want to place the seal gasket... Read more
The Water Line is an OEM part for LG refrigerators, designed to supply water to the ice maker and water dispenser. Made from durable materials to withstand water pressure and prevent leaks, this water line is essential for access to clean, filtered water at all times. Note: color of the water tube may be different from original. Tube is 5/16" diameter
Symptoms of a bad Water Line include:
Causes of failure can range from physical damage, such as kinks or punctures, to wear and tear over time leading to brittleness or weakening of the material. These issues can compromise the integrity of the water supply, affecting both the quality and safety of the water and ice provided by your refrigerator.
This OEM LG part can also be used on Kenmore/Sears appliances.
Removed the old line and replaced with the new. This is the sixth time I've replaced the line. Yes you read that right, the sixth time. Lines fail about every 6-8 months so I can change one out now in about 10-15 minutes. Bought the refrigerator in Feb '09 and the line first failed in March 2012. Since then I've had failures in as little as 4 months to as much as 9 months. Frustrating to say the least, but I'm a whiz at changing out the line :-) Read more
Oven won't heat or shows E-08 error? This gas range igniter restores reliable ignition. Common DIY fix—remove screws and replace in under an hour.
It was Holy Thursday and my husband turned on the oven to make our traditional lamb. Being busy in the kitchen with other things, I glanced over at the stove once or twice. Eventually it dawned on me that time had passed but the display still said 150° which is the default. I opened the oven and it was stone cold. We tried unplugging it, turning it off and trying again. It didn't work. My husband hauled out the roaster. For Easter, I bake nutrolls because it makes me feel connected to my... Read more

Replace your cracked, broken, or missing refrigerator glass shelf. Includes frame and provides a sturdy storage surface for food organization.
Called Appliance Parts--vented a bit to a very kind and patient female voice--she gave me the part numbers. After grumbling yet again, I submitted the order. Expensive, but easier and cheaper than buying a whole new refrigerator! The parts arrived the next morning! I was amazed, since I'd called in the afternoon. Put them in--all well! Looks great--like new--at least for now! Read more
Dryer won't advance through cycles or stops mid-cycle? The timer controls cycle duration and progression. Moderate DIY repair with basic tools.
The selector knob and timer quit working on our GE dryer. We noticed the plastic selector knob was cracked inside when we pulled it off. We decided to order a new timer along with the selector knob just in case the new knob didn't solve the problem. We put on the new knob as easy as we pulled it off and the dryer would turn on again, however it was not going off in the selected amount of time it was supposed to. So it turns out we did need the timer part as well. These parts came in the... Read more
Unusual noises or vibrations during the drying cycle Causes of a faulty lint chute assembly can include normal wear and tear over time, clogging due to excessive lint accumulation, or physical damage due to improper cleaning or maintenance. This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore dryer models.
Replaced front panel and inner liner of door (kit), trap duct assembly, both bearing slides (gray and white), and drum front support bearing. Procedure is pretty much what one sees in the video clips. Exceptions in our case included: 1. The fact that our door latch¹ was on the front panel while the door strike² was on the door. The newer (replacement) design has the latch on the door and the strike on the front panel! 2. The new door did NOT have the door latch installed (as shown in the... Read more
Fix washer overfilling or slow water drips with this water inlet valve. Controls hot and cold water flow into the tub. Moderate DIY repair in 30-60 minutes.
After a few internet searches, it became clear that the most common fix for this issue is replacing the water inlet valve. My washer is about five years old, which aligns with the typical lifespan of these valves. I ordered the OEM parts for this washer, as this is not something you want failing and potentially flooding your home while you’re away. The thermistor is installed directly into the valve and uses an O-ring that is known to degrade and leak over time. Since the thermistor has to be... Read more
If your refrigerator has ice buildup on coils or water under crisper drawers, the defrost thermostat may have failed. DIY-friendly repair part.
Poped off plastics caseing inside the frigerator. Unscrewed 4 screws holding black fan inplace. Followed yellow wire to locate white sensor. Need to be careful not to break styrofoam, don't force it, it should seporate from plastic easy as long as the 4 screws are out. Swap it for the new one and button it back up. While I was in there I replaced the defrost sensor and the other sensor next to the heating rod. Also I know there is an issue with drain hole plugging up with ice so I extended the... Read more
Replacement shelf frame that sits above the crisper drawer in your refrigerator. Order a new frame if yours is cracked, broken, or missing mounting holes.
Used the schematic provided to select the parts needing replacement and placed the order. Parts arrived and swapping new for old was simple. For the most part it was a matter of taking out the old and putting in the new. There were a few screws with wheels to replace but that was easy as well. Before purchase I searched several different sites and found all the parts needed. I compared prices of each item as well as shipping cost. Prices for each item were nearly identical between sites... Fixes ice buildup on freezer coils and warm fridge temps. This defrost timer regulates the automatic defrost cycle. Moderate DIY repair with video guide.
A word of thanks to AppliancePartsPros - they delivered in one day. Ordered at 4PM CDT and received the part by noon the next day. Also, Alicia in the help department was able to locate an electrical diagram for my old freezer. This was essential for proper setup and her persistence in tracking down the diagram was top notch. Now on to my problem. One day I opened the freezer and found frost and thawing food. I attributed this to the door hitting an item in the freezer and not completely... Read more

The Magnetic Door Plunger is an OEM part for LG washing machines. It is designed to securely hold the door in a closed position during the operation cycle, employing a magnet mechanism for enhanced reliability. The plunger ensures that the door latch is properly engaged, preventing the machine from running if the door is not closed correctly.
Causes of a bad Magnetic Door Plunger can include wear and tear from constant use, failure of the magnetic mechanism due to exposure to moisture or mechanical damage, or a misalignment that prevents the door from closing properly.
Symptoms of a bad Magnetic Door Plunger include:
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.
This was a super-easy repair. You have to line up the spring so that it sits on the bumps inside the magnet holder and the door, then you have to line up the tabs on the magnet holder so they will slide into the slots on the door. Then you just push it in. Repair took less than a minute. Read more
Replaces worn or leaking shock absorbers that cause excessive vibration and wobbling during spin cycles. Restores stability and smooth operation.
My washing machine was making a loud thumping sound and bouncing around a bit. Research suggested that it could be bearings and/or the spider shaft assembly. After watching the instruction videos to replace the spider or bearings, I seen you need to replace both the shaft seal and tub gasket to get to the spider and bearings. So I ordered both and waited for them to arrive. Plan was to disassemble the washer, determine what was needed, order the additional parts needed, and reassemble after the... Read more
If your oven won't heat or bakes unevenly, the bake element may be burned out. This is a simple 5-10 minute repair—just two screws and wire connectors.
One day, while trying to roast chicken on the convection roast setting, my Electrolux oven stopped heating properly. I tried the broil setting and the top electric heating element worked fine. I then tried the bake setting and found that the bottom element wasn't working at all. I Googled the problem. The info I found said that the issue was probably that the bake element needed to be replaced. It said to look for a break or burned through spot on the element. If it appeared OK, remove it...
