Cajun Man September 05, 2014 for Model Number WTW6300SW0 I'm getting the ul code during spin cycle. The machine is not making any noise, except for the basket slamming the side of the tub. It always seems to hit the same front corner, leading me to believe my suspension rod(s) could be the culprit. Other than that the machine works fine. This seems to be a common issue in 5-7 year old machines. My question is, is there any way to check the rods. Other than the plastic hanger parts the only other part that could seem to go bad would be ther spring. Can you tell me what the compresion force should be on these springs? I just would like to be sure the rods are bad before ordering and changing them.
1 Answer Cajon man, Unfortunately we do not have a compression rating for the springs on the rods. The rods could be the culprit but you will also want to check the stator to make sure that it is not damaged in any way as the stator being damaged could cause the unit to get off balance. Mjc April 11, 2014 for Model Number WTW6400SW3 Whirlpool cabrio washer Could poor suspension rods and or splines on the tub be the cause of water not dispensing into tub during wash cycle?
1 Answer Hello MJC. No, it is not likely. That leads toward a bad control board in the unit. You can lift up on the inner basket to see if the splines are moving up and down properly. Read More...
Toehead April 06, 2014 for Model Number WTW6600SW2 I moved my washer and there was a black mark on the floor like something was leaking also water had leaked out at some point and ran across the floor. I thought a seal may be bad but I noticed that the tub seems to move a lot. I has been getting off balanced frequently lately.
1 Answer Toehead, This issue sounds like the tub bearing may have gone bad and allowing the tub shaft to move around. For this issue you would either want to replace the bearing or replace the outer tub. The black that you are seeing would be from the bearing grease leaking. The outer tub is part number W10193886 and comes with the bearing and shaft. The bearings can be replaced separately by ordering part number W10435302 but will require a bearing tool which is part number W10447783. Read More...
Trinidad March 19, 2014 for Model Number 11.27086604 My washer goes crazy with the UL code and the F1 code. It goes unbalanced even when empty and as soon as I start it water starts to fill then it stops and says F1. I tried running the diagnostic but it will just stop and say F1 or UL
1 Answer Hello Trinidad, If your model number is 11027086604, I was able to pull up the tech sheet. Regarding the F1 fault code, it states: Pressure Signal Out-of-Range F then 1 flashes when the control detects an out of range pressure signal. ? Check pressure hose connection from tub to machine/motor control. Is hose pinched or kinked? ? If F then 1 repeats numerous times after POWER is pressed and the pressure hose connection is not pinched or kinked, replace the machine/motor control. The ul code states: Unbalanced Load uL is displayed when the machine/motor control detects an off-balance load, and is steady on while the washer runs a mini-cycle to rebalance the load. ? Display clears if mini-cycle successfully rebalanced the load. ? If the mini-cycle is unsuccessful, uL will flash until the door lid is opened, allowing the customer to view and redistribute the load. Read More...

Is this part of the suspension problem or is it something else?
