High temperature adhesive for dryers. Use to bond drum seals, felt guides, and gaskets during repairs. Replace when reattaching worn parts. Confirm fit.
I'm new to how a dryer works, so I just started taking it apart to see what exactly was causing it. The video examples on the APP website were all amazing. It gave me a good idea of what I was getting into and showed me the common repair issues. The dryer being 12 years old, I was on the fence about repairing or replacing. However, once I got a list of parts I might need and getting the confidence by watching the videos, I said "what have I got to lose." The cause of the scraping and loud... Read more

DIY. The delivery to Milwaukee took two days. The project was very easy and took about 1hr. The only tools required were a screw driver (electric) and a pliers. Just make sure your irganized with the screws so you don't lose any or mix up which ones go back in which holes. There's about 20 total screws. This $50 part saved me from having to buy my wife a $1000+ oven. Read more
Prevents lint, moisture, and heat from escaping around your dryer drum opening. Replace if torn or worn to restore efficiency. Verify fit by model number.
Get some acetone at a Hardware Store before you start. A pint will do. Unplug the dryer from 110 VAC. Pull the top off of the dryer, by lifting it from the front first. It is attached with snap metal fittings. Do not completely remove the top, just tip upright to gain access to the front interior of the dryer. Before you pull any wires from the door switch, record which color wires go to which terminals on the door switch. If you reassemble the connections incorrectly, the gas value will... Read more

Broil element not heating or broken? This part provides intense radiant heat for broiling. Straightforward DIY replacement takes about 15-20 minutes.
I had the choice of spending $2K on another double oven stove or $60 on two elements. (I felt more secure about replacing both bake and broil elements just in case the fire had damaged the bake element) It was an easy decision and quick replacement! Power was already off to the stove so I cleaned up the fire retardent mess. I even found easy instructions dismantling the oven door in order to clean the powder residue from between the glass. I then removed the rack and remaining old elements. I... Read more

Dryer won't start when door closes? A broken door switch lever prevents the dryer from detecting a closed door. Easy 10-minute DIY fix with video.
First, I rooked on YouTube for a video on how to fix it. The video brought me to a very helpful video with a link to your website. We have had this dryer since we bought the house 10 years ago and the thought of buying something new, that wasn't made as well was a dreaded thought. I went on the website, entered the model number of my dryer and then a search link for a parts search. Not knowing the part number, I was able to find the exact thing I needed. It was amazing and so easy! Had... Read more
Replace your dryer drum belt when clothes stop tumbling or you hear squealing. This 79-1/8" belt wraps around the drum and motor to rotate clothes evenly.
I used the web site to figure out the most likely causes for the drum not turning. I watched the web site's videos to see what I would have to do and thought it wasn't too bad; something a rookie could do. Ordered the parts (belt and idler arm) and followed the directions from the videos. Mostly a bunch of screws/bolts to remove with a couple in difficult places. (my dryer isn't full sized) There were some electrical connections to take apart. As i disassembled it, I took pictures of where... Read more

Replaces worn dryer front bearing and seal that cause squealing or scraping noise. Essential for smooth drum rotation. Confirm fit with your model.
After having replaced the drum support rollers twice in a roughly 3yr period, I realized something wasn't quite right, and indeed it wasn't. I had been ordering the wrong parts - I did use the online parts locator after checking, & double checking my model number. Apparently my older Whirlpool dryer has a somewhat ambiguous model number because the rollers that were shipped each time looked nothing like the originals. I realize that is not particularily uncommon - manufacturers often modify... Read more
