I have a Samsung fridge and I had a problem were low pressure water kept coming out of the dispenser and would not stop. Replacement cap for French door refrigerator center hinge assembly. Covers hinge mechanism on door frame. Needed when original is cracked or broken.
In order it SHOULD be done: Pried off two white caps covering the screws that attach the flap to the left door, then removed screws. Lifted flap up to remove from door and disconnected cable. Used a thin blade to pry out the inner cover of the flap, then carefully pried out the insulation piece inside. Loosened the screw holding the center cap from the inside and removed cap. I read an article concerning the same problem and ordered the interior lever, but the real issue was that the plastic piece that activated the water flow was broken off the interior of the water dispenser cover assembly. Samsung does not make it easy to replace the casters. The shafts holding the casters are crimped at the ends and had to be cut off with little room for any tools. I had to jack up the fridge and I used a hacksaw blade with a handle to cut through the wheel shafts. I didn't want to use a reciprocating saw. Removed the bottom shelf by releasing the 2 clips near the water filter, then lifted the front of the shelf and slid it out.
