Fix refrigerator lights that won't turn on, flicker, or show a faint pink glow. This LED control board regulates interior lighting in both compartments.
This mechanical timer controls the sequence and duration of wash, rinse, and spin cycles in the washing machine. It advances through each stage of the cycle and signals the appropriate components to turn on and off. Replace this timer if the washer gets stuck on one cycle, skips cycles, won't advance, or fails to start.
Based on an internet search, the likely problem seemed to be a bad timer-control switch because it would hum and click but not advance on a 17-year old washer. Repairman diagnosed the problem as a bad lid-switch-assembly and replaced it - problem solved. Now I need to return the Timer-Control. AppliancePartsPros was very quick to ship the Timer-Control and have a great return policy for an unneeded part. Read more
Fix ice/water dispenser not working or SY CE error code. This dispenser control board restores ice and water selection. Moderate DIY repair, 1-2 hours.
We have a Frigidaire LGHS2667KE0. I’m not an appliance technician. Our refrigerator was not working. We were getting an error code SY CE on the front control panel. I tried unplugging it for about an hour and plug it back in. The refrigerator would cut off and on for about 30 seconds, shut down and beep leaving me with the same code. I called an appliance repair technician who pulled the main board from the front bottom of the refrigerator. He believed it was a relay and or the... Read more
Fix a refrigerator that won't defrost or has an iced-up evaporator coil. This defrost control board manages defrost cycles to prevent frost buildup.
The defrost heater element looked good and had continuity. The defrost thermostats checked good, so that just left the Defrost Module as the likely suspect. I installed a new defrost control module and thermostats. The thermostats were inexpensive and the old ones could have been intermittent, The only "tricky" part was finding out how to get to the back screw that holds the main control panel. Discovered that the return air duct surrounding the control panel needed to come off. It helps... Read more
Fix a refrigerator that won't cool or has freezing issues. This main control board regulates temperature and system cycles. Moderate DIY repair.
This was a newer GE Monogram side-by-side unit that used an inverter compressor. I removed the inverter and used an ohmmeter to measure the resistance of each of the three windings. They were all very close to one another: about 6.8 ohms per winding. I concluded that the compressor was probably not at fault. The inverter kind of burned or chemical-ish, and, when opened, showed an electrolytic capacitor had burst. I replaced the inverter with an overnight part from Amazon. It was the same... Read more

This is a 60 Hz electromechanical timer that controls the sequence and duration of wash, rinse, and spin cycles in a washing machine. It uses a small motor and a series of internal cams and contacts to advance the machine through each stage of the laundry cycle. Replace this timer if the washer gets stuck on one cycle, skips cycles, won't advance, or fails to start altogether.
I searched online and found Appliance Parts Pros to have the best price and an instructional video on how to replace this part. I've never done any type of repairs on a washing machine and figured I would give it a try. My washer is approx. nine years old and in good condition, and either I would repair this on my own or buy another. It took me about 30 min. to remove and replace the part, once this was completed I put the washing machine back into operation. Hurray!!!!!! did not have to spend... Read more

Fix a refrigerator that won't cool or has temperature issues. This main control board manages cooling cycles, fans, and compressor operation. Moderate DIY.
Replaced the Main Control Board Assembly along with the evaporator and condenser fan motors. I thoroughly cleaned the very very dirty condenser with a 4$ brush offered by the parts specialist and while I was at it, I changed the door seals and replaced one of the door trays. Beats the crap out of spending $10,000 on a new refrigerator that because of Covid 19 wouldn't be here before the middle of November. Thank you Matt for your help! Read more

When I ordered the control board the young lady told me that I had to take the front off the dishwasher. I did exactly as she said and started to put the new control board on. I could not unplug from the old one and finally my son came by and did that. I then put everything back together and turned it on. IT WORKED. Thank you. I should probably tell you that I am a 75 year old woman and if I can do it, anyone can. Read more

Called an appliance guy, who said the control panel needed to be changed and quoted me $600. Luckily I Googled the model number and found this website. After seeing that several other people had had the same problem and that the membrane was recommended (not the control panel), I took a chance and ordered the part. One of the other posters recommended a Japanese YouTube video which I easily found and watched first. I highly recommend watching the video first. It's not a hard repair but he... Read more
