New dishwasher replacement Brian W. • Fort Worth , TX • December 05, 2021
This was a dishwasher swap out. I first turned the water off to the inlet hose of the dishwasher from underneath the sink. Removed the inlet water hose from sink to dishwasher. (use wrench or adjustable wrench) Then removed the screws securing old dishwasher from the cabinetry.
I then pulled out the dishwasher from the cabinetry hole it was in.
I unplugged the power cord from the wall of the old dishwasher.
Then Ii removed the other end of inlet hose still attached to old DW (braided stainless...

Unscrewed console and tilted it back. Then removed clips for machine skin. Rocked it back slightly to access the tub side hose. Removed water inlet valve assembly and removed from the valve.
Fished out the old hose. Fished in new hose. Reattched it then reassembled unit. Spent 15 min looking for clip I lost on NASTY FLOOR AAAAAARGH! When done I tested it then found the cold inlet hose screen was clogged. Went to store and replaced hoses and inlet screens too. Glanced over at other washer and...

Drain pump and tub to drain pump replacement (error code sud washer not draining) Monty M. • Tooele , UT • August 08, 2016
Repairing the problem was the easy part. Diagnosing the problem took a little more time. To diagnose the problem, it took longer because I first cleaned the Drain Pump trap from all the material it collected. Socks, hair pins, and other materials that were not cleaned from pants pockets. It then still did not drain. Repeated the process after finding more materials and a toy that punctured the hose between the tub and the drain pump. Running the drain and spin cycle takes about 11...

My washing machine smelt horrible Bryan W. • Ogdensburg , NY • August 20, 2018
First off I have to say that Appliance Parts Pro's saved me from hiring a repair person, and quite possibly just getting rid of my washing machine. Their video's helped out SOOOOOOOO much and the advice one of their agents gave me over their online chat helped me trouble shoot something when I got stuck. On top of this they shipped my parts fast enough that less than 12 hrs later they arrived, which allowed me to get my machine up and running way faster than the other options I had available....

Leak on upper left side of 30yr old Maytag washer. Mark H. • Manassas , VA • February 07, 2019
I noticed a lot of water on the floor one day. I had no idea where it came from (all pipes in the area near the stationary tub were dry, there was a small wet spot near the washer, but most of the water was more than 2ft from it). Started a small load and noticed water running down the outside of the unit. Immediately stopped the cycle and removed the front of the washer. Restarted the cycle and could see water spraying from the intake hose. Stopped the cycle and advanced it to spin to...

Washing machine wasn't draining properly and the drain pump sounded loud and whiny Chris S. • Boulder , CO • March 30, 2014
Replace the drain pump after watching a video demonstrating the process. The washing machine had run properly and emptied, so I was surprised how much water remained in the pipe after disconnecting the old pump. Plan on having 2-3 large towels underneath before removing it.
The most difficult part (and most irritating) was replacing the intake and outtake hoses with the existing spring clamps. The drain hose into the pump took almost twenty minutes to attach properly. If the hardware store was...

Leaking water from bottom of washer found hose cracked just below the tub Terry S. • Morgan Hill , CA • April 23, 2014
I replaced the hose between the tub and the pump. The clamp screws were quite rusted but I used a socket wrench on them since they have hex heads in addition to the screwdriver slot. If I had tried to use a screwdriver, I think it would have been difficult. I did not reuse the original clamps but replaced them with hardware store hose clamps.

Loud knocking and rattle while in spin cycle. Daniel K. • Grafton , WI • July 30, 2017
18 year old Maytag Atlantis top load washer had a load knocking and rattle sound with excessive vibration when the tub was spinning, but not when it was agitating. They was no water leaking. I took the front panel off and carefully listened while I ran a cycle and the loud sound sounded like it was coming from the drain pump. So I took off the drive belt and noticed that it was glazed and that there was belt material on the drain pump and tub transmission pulleys. I removed the drain pump and...

E21 water not pumping out fast enough (eiflw55hmb washer) Helmut D. • Rancho Palos Verdes , CA • April 20, 2020
Replaced pump. All components are accessible from the front of the machine. You have to remove two screws in the back that hold on the top cover, then slide the cover back. This will allow access to the screws that hold on the control panel. Remove the control panel (unplug cable), then remove the spring/wire that holds on the door bellows to the front panel (removing and installing that is the most difficult part of the job) and carefully remove the bellows from the front panel. Then remove...
