This switch also controls the tub filling water level based on air pressure via the attached vinyl tubing. I first checked to make sure the washer was level. The washer is on a concrete floor. After watching lots of you tube videos I ordered all the parts that could be causing this problem. I ordered: Balance Ring, Suspension Pad Kit (3 rectangle plastic wear pads), Tub Suspension Pads(3 curved plastic wear pads), Suspension Spring, and a Spanner Wrench tool. First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise.
