Washer won't drain or draining slowly? A failed drain pump prevents water removal during cycles. Moderate DIY repair with video guide available.
I opened the washer and replaced the pump. To open the washer: 1. Remove the 2 screws that are different from the others in the top back corners of the machine. That will let you remove the top. 2. Remove the soap tray and its holder. The tray comes out if you depress the tab in the back center. Its holder comes out if you remove the two screws in the front. You can leave all the hoses attached. 3. Remove the control panel. It snaps in. Undo the top snaps first. You'll have to reach... Read more

Suspension damper rod assembly for washers. Mounts between drum and frame to absorb vibration. Replace if worn, damaged, or causing excessive movement.
Samsung top load washer, about 3 years old started throwing a DC error code more and more often. Initially started with large loads. Wash would get to spin cycle, start wobbling all over the place, stop and refill then try again. Eventually it would stop and throw the DC code. As time went on, the size of the loads got smaller and smaller. Research here indicated that suspension rods probably need replacing. I bought 4 rods for replacement for about $90 in total inc. tax & shipping.... Read more

Washer won't start or shows LO/DC error? Lid lock assembly secures the lid during cycles and signals the control board. DIY-friendly repair with video.
After watching the video it was strait forward. Just Pull the screws pop the lid swap the springs "grease them" and put it back together. I would suggest that you have a person help you mostly has a second pair of hands. The lid was over rear springs and it will save you some expletives to have the extra body. I had worn out springs and the load kept becoming unbalanced during spin cycles I just happened to coincide with the Lock mechanism failing. The motor drive for the lock stopped working.... Read more
Washer overfilling or not filling properly? The water level pressure switch controls fill cycles. Easy 15-minute DIY repair with our video guide.
This error code indicated faulty water level and wash cycles were exhibiting either no water or too much water. Saw utube vid using this part for this type of problem and so far the repair is working well. Part arrived in 2 days, it was the right part and the machine is working the way its supposed to so I'm very happy. The worst scenario would have been to hire a repair guy to rip me off for a "Johnson Rod" I didn't need. Read more

Washer not draining or water backing up? This check valve regulates water flow and prevents backflow. DIY repair with video guide included.
First of all, I cannot believe that Samsung would actually think that putting the drain pump on the drum was a GOOD idea. The fix was easy, When I bought the washer off an individual, She told me that she was informed the drain pump needed replaced. So I did that. Pain in the a&* du to the location and trying to secure the bolts. It broke off after a week. Self-tapping screw for dishwashers, dryers, refrigerators, and washers. Replace missing, stripped, or damaged screws for secure panel and component mounting.
The start button had been tricky to use. You had to push it in just a certain way to get the dryer to start. Eventually it was non-responsive. All other controls worked and there was no error code displayed. The repair was to replace the whole control board which cost around $100. Heavy sigh.. Be sure to keep track of all your screws. BTW it was not the thermal fuse. All the online videos say this is the first thing to look for when the dryer will not start. Be sure to check with the person... Read more
