A bit of research on the internet indicated the most likely problem was with the defrost system. I found the service manual for the refrigerator and was able to determine that the defrost heater and thermostat passed the self test. The refrigerator would perform a forced defrost which resulted in a cold refrigerator. Replaced the timer - This should have been a VERY easy repair however, there is a clip (holding the timer to panel) on the bottom of timer than must be removed with a pair of pliers. There is absolutely NO room to access this clip so I had to take apart much of the dryer to gain access. What should have been a 15 minute repair turned into a frustrating hour. Read more

Based on symptoms it looked like the timer was not working. I did a web search to confirm this and found your web site. Entering the model number of the washer (Whirlpool) I found the timer and related information. This confirmed my diagnosis. I also looked at the video on how to change the timer. This was invaluable! Checked the circuit board to see if R11 was burnt and it was. They told me if the wax motor had a brown tip that I would have to replace the Machine control circuit board as well as the Wax motor. I ordered the new parts put them in and it worked. Read more

Water dispenser came down to a trickle and made a lot of noise, I changed the filter but it didnt help and thus the water tank/head assembly needed to be replaced. Replacing the water Tank/head assembly was an easy task, the hardest part is removing the covers and taking care of not breaking the insulation of the water inlet hose. 1. Purchased a new Facade. The removal of the old one was relatively easy except that the two screws that hold it in place (behind the spill tray) were rusted (they should have used stainless steel ones) one came out with a vise grip but on the other I had to buy an "Easy Out" tool from Home Depot, once out the unit drops down. Replaced the defrost timer. It was not located where the parts explode suggested in the thermostat control box which is located in the upper right corner of the liner. It was in fact outside the freezer compartment on the back lower left support (when looking at the back of the freezer). It is secured with 2 sheet metal screws with a 1/4 hex head.
