We bought a used refrigerator gaskets were old and broken not sealing any more Jill H. • Penn Valley , CA • July 08, 2015
Unfortunately, this model has the screws that you need to loosen before you can squeeze the rubber in but the gaskets fit perfectly. It took a lot more time than the video showed but that was because the video was of the pop in type. Be sure when pushing the rubber under the metal strip you make sure it actually goes in. I think the last people installed the gaskets incorrectly and that's why they broke and pulled out of place. Unscrew the bolts first, I used an electric drill. The old gasket...

In side of freezer drawer was icing up Gary L V. • Fort Myers , FL • February 06, 2016
I pulled the old gasket off the door then I used rubbing alcohol to clean the mold along the back of the door and in the insert for the gasket seals . The new gasket fit extremely well and was very easy to put in. I waited 24 hours for the gasket to come back to its normal shape. After putting the gasket in I waited another 24 hours to make sure that I was getting no Icing inside the freezer area. There was no icing so the job is completed.

The Freezer Door Gasket is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool bottom-mount refrigerators. This white freezer door gasket is responsible for maintaining a tight air seal around the entrance to the freezing compartment. It helps retain cold air inside and prevents warm drafts or humidity from affecting food freshness and freezer efficiency.
Symptoms of a bad freezer gasket include:
- Difficulty keeping consistent temperatures inside the freezer section
- Visible moisture, frost, or condensation around the door perimeter
- Noticeable warm air infiltration reducing cooling performance
Causes of freezer gasket failure involve regular opening and closing of the door. Over time, the flexible material breaks down from continuous use exposing it to changing environmental temperatures. Physical damage from overstuffing shelves or slamming the door can also prematurely damage the gasket.
This OEM replacement is also compatible with some KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore refrigerator models.

The first repair was replacing a dead circuit board in the frig. The second repair was maintenance items including a drip pan and a new freezer gasket Dwight S. • Nokesville , VA • September 11, 2018
A tree had fallen across our power lines and the resulting power surge fried the circuit board. The diagnosis was a bit difficult and involved an educated guess based on how the frig was acting. The display was dark unless a button was pressed and the inside light worked but that was all. I had to rule out the compressor as the root cause so I back fed power to the compressor and heard it and the condenser fan fire up. I ordered the board and found the only way I could get it overnight was to...
