It was easy to replace the old clock/timer control board with the new one. I followed these steps: 1. Remove the four control knobs. 2. Remove the four large plastic nuts under the control knobs. This holds down the entire faceplate. 3. Remove the four screws which secure the clock/timer control board and display. 4. I ORDERED A TIMER UNIT TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND BEFORE I GOT THAT FAR I FOUND THAT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR A BROKEN GROUND WIRE CAUSED BY OPENING AND CLOSING THE DOOR OVER THE YEARS. AFTER REPLACING THE SECTION THAT WAS BROKEN THE DISHWASHER WAS WORKING FINE. Read more

Arrived home to smell burnt electrical wiring and upon investigating the source I found the LED on the over/range not lit up. The smell came from the EOC location on the front of the appliance. De-energized the appliance and removed the failed EOC (take pictures for reference to electrical connections) to identify the part number (AP5184574). Ordered via Appliance Pros.
