Control Board
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 316443936

The Control Board is an OEM part for Frigidaire ranges and ovens. It is responsible for managing various functions and operations of the appliance. This crucial component receives input from the control panel and user settings, and then translates these inputs into commands for the different components of the range, such as the oven heating elements, bake and broil functions, temperature regulation, and timer operations.

Causes of a faulty Control Board can be related to electrical issues, such as power surges, short circuits, or internal component failure due to age or wear and tear.

Symptoms of a bad Control Board can include:

  • Oven not heating or maintaining temperature properly
  • Oven control panel not responding or displaying erratic behavior
  • Specific oven functions not working correctly
  • Error codes or warning lights illuminated on the control panel

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Run away temp on lower oven (f10 error code)   David F. • Rutledge , GA • April 18, 2020

Replace relay board. This part wasn’t too difficult, remove doors, racks, and 2 mounting screws on the sides. Then slide the unit out until you can access the top panel. Remove the 5 screws on the panel and then the panel. Unplug the board, remove 2 screws and release the clips holding the board board. The oven is 6 years old and the new part is a newer revision than the old part so it should last longer. The hard job was replacing the temp probe in the lower oven. The wire isn’t long enough to... Replacement Oven Control Board
Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00653424

This is a replacement oven control board manufactured by Bosch. The oven control board is the oven's brain and handles all the functions. It also includes the display and provides users with the ability to control functionality, like bake and broil, setting timers, and more. While the oven control board does not include moving parts, heat and moisture can damage soldered components and lead to failure. Signs that the control board may need to be replaced include lack of information on the display, inability to control specific functions, or complete lack of operability. Note that this part is often misdiagnosed, so make sure to check the old board's operability with a multimeter before replacing it. To replace the oven control board, first remove the exterior cowling. Locate the wiring harness and disconnect it before removing the mounting screws. Install the replacement part following these steps in reverse. This genuine OEM part is sold individually. It only fits Bosch Thermador ovens.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • not self-cleaning
  • Little to no heat when broiling

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You E115 over heating error on thermador oven   Sharon H. • Laguna Niguel , CA • December 26, 2021

Replaced the main control board on a Thermador oven model POD301J/01 after we got an E115 error and the top broiler would come on no matter what setting you put it on and wouldn't turn off and would overheat. Took me about 30 mins total to replace after taking pics to make sure everything went back as it was. So far so good and it's working again! Read more

Oven Relay Control Board
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 318022002

This is a Frigidaire oven relay control board. This part is made for the double-oven wall design. The relay control board sends a signal to the main control board, causing the oven to turn on or off. These relay boards are engaged directly by the power button of the unit and the cooking timer. When the relay control board malfunctions or short circuits, the baking and broil functions will be directly affected. The oven may quit powering on altogether if the relay board completely fails. A short in the relay will cause the oven power to function correctly at random times. Wall ovens must be dismounted from their positions to install these parts. Once access is gained to the tear of the stove, the back panel can be removed. The relay control board is located near the bottom of the unit, close to the utility drawer. Unplug the connecting wires and engage the mounting clips holding the board. Discard the old unit, and replace it with the upgrade. Connect the cables and fasten the metal panel on the rear of the oven. Check for proper function before mounting the stove back into the wall. This is a genuine OEM product and is obtained directly from the manufacturer. This part is only compatible with Frigidaire wall ovens.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The bottom heating element wasn't working in top oven   Kevin Scott W. • Parker , CO • January 09, 2015

Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You F1 & f3 error codes   Keith L. • Lorain , OH • March 10, 2017

Replaced the Controller (mother board). I previously replaced the temperature probe (316217002) but that did not resolve the problem. Replacing the Controller (318185446 / AP3583606) was much easier and quicker than replacing the probe. Simply remove the 6 or 8 screws that secure that range top and the top lifts easily exposing the Controller. There are only 4 electrical connections that easily unplug and reattach. Although the new board has more connection points, they are similarly labeled... Read more
