I couldn't figure out how to remove the original timer, but found a YouTube video from someone who had the same problem and finally figured out the easy step for removing the original timer (the timer knob is threaded and is removed by unscrewing the timer knob itself whereas the other knobs just pull off). After checking the oven sensor and the heating element ( which I replaced last yr aft it burst into flames) with a multimeter, and they were functional, I determined that it was the oven control board although it didn't show any error codes.(Unfortunately the most expensive part). I replaced the board, also called the clock/timer, after watching online videos showing the procedure.
