Frigidaire Control Board

Replace relay board. This part wasn’t too difficult, remove doors, racks, and 2 mounting screws on the sides. Then slide the unit out until you can access the top panel. Remove the 5 screws on the panel and then the panel. Unplug the board, remove 2 screws and release the clips holding the board board. Replaced the control board. Labeled the 5 wires before removing them, then took the control board apart looking for a burnt connection found it and ordered a new board. To remove the touch pad i first heated the edges with a heat gun and removed it in one piece. Read more

The AppliancePartsPro website quickly identified the part. 2 days after ordering, the part arrived and after watching the instruction video it took me 15 minutes to replace it. unscrewed the back, unplugged the board and unscrewed it; screwed in the new board and plugged it in. Replaced the Controller (mother board). I previously replaced the temperature probe (316217002) but that did not resolve the problem. Replacing the Controller (318185446 / AP3583606) was much easier and quicker than replacing the probe. Simply remove the 6 or 8 screws that secure that range top and the top lifts easily exposing the Controller. There are only 4 electrical connections that easily unplug and reattach. After some testing, it appeared that both elements were bad. After installing the new elements, the problem remained the same. Even when I tested the voltages it appeared that the Oven Control Board was good. However, since that was really the only part left to replace, I ordered it. Once installed the oven is back to normal. Received my Control Panel and Overlay 2 days after it was ordered!!!! Now I can bake cookies for the holidays!! Sweet!!! Read more
